| Ground Floor – Internal Condensation LOOSENING OF PVC FLOOR COVERING OF SPORTS PAVILION | | | ASSESSMENT AND MEASUREMENTS | | | When the floor configuration was analysed, it was found that the covering was glued directly onto the concrete support layer. This was a ground floor consisting of a gravel box, concrete support layer and glued PVC covering. A dry carotage was performed on the support layer of the covering and the moisture content determined. The concrete was found to have a higher moisture content at the surface than deeper down. The following measurements were taken in order to characterise the hygrothermal conditions:
- Relative humidity at the glue joins of the covering; - Temperature at the various interfaces of the ground floor; - Indoor temperature and relative atmospheric moisture content.
